Our advanced Jazz course is designed for students with an intermediate to advanced level of proficiency
on the piano. However, beginners are always welcome, and we will start....at the beginning.
The advanced course begins with the study of three and four parts chords as applied to the Jazz Standards. As curriculum
progresses, the student learns traditional and modern voicings, blues, be-bop and improvisation.
We deconstruct the musical language inherited by great pianists such as Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett and
others and the course is supplemented with piano technique, harmonic analysis of the standards, and lots of fun!
